[ give... whatever it is. it could be another bug and they'd still be curious until they know for sure. ]

( he came here to feed them bread, and talk about murders. he's not giving up his evidence. )

[ No, stop, npc-kun will sit on his back and reach for the box and bring it down to him ]

It was a pair of glasses and a watch, but it does nothing for you at the moment.

( because they won't give him anything good, which, he may not be able to crawl again... but he's pushing his hands against the counter to shake it... like he wants the bread to fall down. )

We also lost the chance at weed...

( they're taking Ls at every turn. )

[ The counter does not relinquish any bread, and npc-kun's lips press into a little thin line at the mention of weed before that expression gives way to the usual neutrality. ]

Watches are always useful, and have a high resale value. Glasses... It depends on if they're prescription, which limits the potential customer pool.

Are you able to check if they're prescriptions?

( he will pull them out his pocket, showing them off as a regular brand of glasses that he plucked out the locker.... i guess, mira said komaeda had them. so now he does. )

Aren't they cool? ( he'll put them on to show them off in all their glory. )

[ Their lips quirk up in a smile, because glasses Komaeda... funny.

But anyways, they wave their hands in front of his face and tries to get fully in his line of sight too. ]

Do I look blurry? Or do your eyes hurt? If things look different, that's the lenses bending light and it's prescription!

[commences]

( glasses and komaeda might be okay, actually, but it's sure different to have something on his face. it gets in the way of seeing, and is his vision blurry? maybe he's squinting to check, but with npc-kun playing in his face, he leans forward, almost surprised he's hit their hand with his nose. )

Hmmm.

( he takes them off, looking at them, and then he flips them onto npc-kun's face. )

What do you think, you look better with them than me!

Yeah, they're prescription. It's not a very strong prescription, so if somebody is just starting to go nearsighted, this will help until they need a stronger one. In that case, I'll be able to see this easily too.

( THEY LOOK SOOOO CUTE, komaeda reaches out and pinches their cheeks. )

Let's ruin your eyes so you have to use them.

( a little insane, but komaeda is taking well to the idea with npc-kun with glasses, one hand lifts from their cheeks to push away a few locks of hair so they aren't in the way. )

I only know a few people with glasses, whether they belong to the murderer or our victim... ( hm... ) They're familiar, unfortunately...

[ They wrinkle their nose at the cheek pinch and whaps at Komaeda's hand when he suggests ruining their eyes because no, stop. They need those bangs to hide their eyes when they're sad and glasses would just get in the way and ruin the effect. ]

They're normal glasses. People with glasses usually have spares, because glasses are flimsy and easy to break, and you can't wait two weeks for an optometrist appointment without a backup.

I'll give you the glasses for a totem.

( alright, he's decided what he's wanted, and if these glasses are useless... there's no need for him to use them. komaeda's attitude seems very flighty with how he pulls away from npc-kun at being smacked, and he shakes his hand as if it hurts just a little. )

Ow... ow... you know I wouldn't hurt you if I can help it!

Sometimes it hurts the most when the other person doesn't mean it.

[ They hold the sides of the glasses to their face when Komaeda pulls away. Their glasses now. ]

What's that supposed to mean?

( he rubs the smacked area slowly, trying to ease away the pain as he watches the other. )

I will, you have tons of totems... evidence for something that could help the evidence, it's pretty equal.

It means thoughtlessness hurts more than maliciousness.
