Hiro nods, then shuffles a bit closer, shifting so he's on his knees instead of sitting back so he can lean forward and bring his mouth close to Natsume's ears, a whisper only for him: ]

They're glad she seems receptive, though, and they aren't bothering her, which gives them the confidence to sidle up next to her and peer into her pot as if they have any idea what she's even growing in there. All plants look the same when they're in baby pot stages... ]

Yeah! I was wondering if you knew how to grow herbs. That's a windowsill plant, right? Like, you can do it inside?

Most are! You can actually grow a lot of fresh ones in your kitchen and be fine with just using a bit at a time.

They grow really fast, too!! I like chamomile for that sort of thing.

[ asfljkh all the effort everybody's putting into the calendar and in the end it's just a stack of Izumi pages bc Chiaki's going to burn the rest of them, she doesn't even keep the calendar parts. ]

[ They lean in a little further, squinting at the plant and trying to see it from all angles but that doesn't change the fact that it looks like a generic Plant to them. ]
