CHARACTER INFORMATION

Age: 34, immortalized at 20.
History:
✽ Born to rich parents too busy to pay attention to them, so sheltered and raised by nannies, maids, and their closest friend Joy, their cat.
✽ Dreams of traveling, but ends up working for their parents in a soul-crushing position until their work performance and health declines.
✽ Diagnosed with inoperable brain tumor, which they opt to not seek treatment for, and befriends a nurse in the hospital named Blake.
✽ Blake appears to be attacked by a man one night, but when Felix goes to rescue her, she reveals that the man is her vampire friend, William.
✽ Felix accepts the offer to be turned into a vampire to avoid death, only returning home to grab Joy before going off to travel around the world like they wished.
✽ At some point, they meet a troubled preteen (who is also a medium) that they would come to know as Bailey, gently supporting them where their more traditional family would not.
✽ Years pass, Joy passes away but continues to haunt them as a ghost cat, and Bailey goes to college. Felix moves to an apartment with them and works graveyard shifts at fast food restaurants to help pay for rent during this stressful time for Bailey, who is otherwise making it on their own.
✽ William visits and harasses Felix and Bailey with his idiot antics, but eventually ropes Felix into starting a YouTube channel with them focused primarily on dumb DIY projects but also featuring some videos on not-entirely-accurate (but still somewhat authentic) ghost hunting. They somehow become lowkey successful, which contributes the slightest bit more towards rent, though Bailey -- now older than they were at time of death -- has since graduated and started working as a therapist, primarily for ghosts, but with other paranormal clients.
Personality:
The long and the short of it is that Felix is a dumbass, but one with a good heart despite the fact it doesn't beat more than once a minute.
They've always been someone seeking happiness both for themself and others, only these days it doesn't come at the sacrifice of their freedom. Before becoming a vampire, they'd been boxed in by circumstance, unable to explore neither their interests nor the world. To compensate for all the missed time, after their death by vampirism, Felix became even more open to trying out new things. They leap at whatever makes them curious, a facet of them that's easily exploited by their sire who fills their head and home with whacky DiY projects.
In general they're easily taken advantage of, so the fact that this is being used for crafting purposes is honestly as good as it could possibly be. Felix tends to want to believe the best in people, which when combined with their desire to make others happy and their easily distracted nature makes them especially gullible, so it's probably good that they're already dead or they'd end up in a ditch somewhere. Even if someone did wrong them, either their bad memory or willingness to forgive means that any lessons they may have learned probably go unnoticed.
As much of an airheaded optimist as they are, they aren't a complete write off. For an idiot, they take a lot of time to consider and worry about others, wanting to protect them as best as they're able. Sometimes this means burdening themself to relieve another’s pains. They tend to let things roll like water off a duck’s back, easygoing when it comes to their own problems, but when it comes to others -- particularly those they're close to, Felix can get extremely worked up and loud. Whether this protectiveness presents itself through anxious babbling and screaming, yelling and stomping around, or the extremely rare serious, cool nobility of the knight they wish they could be (because everyone knows the cool, noble knights get the maidens), they use all the energy they have in offering their support. The love is stored in the Felix, but the Felix is small so it's gotta come out.
Powers/abilities:
✽ Slightly elongated and sharpened fangs, as a vampire do. With intent, these can be used to break skin so blood may be consumed.
✽ Heightened agility and vision while in dim light or darkness. Sense of smell is more acute, particularly in misty or precipitation-type weather, while taste is dulled. Hearing remains as it was while human.
During the day, greatly weakened and exhausted, making a false death/sleep often preferable. In daylight, their vision is akin to an overexposed image.
✽ Can dissipate self into a misty version of self and reconstitute shortly after. Think D&D spells Misty Step and Gaseous Form, that sort of thing. With great effort, this can also be used to hover up to a few feet off the ground while solid and affect held or worn objects/small creatures. This is easier on foggy or rainy days, and becomes more difficult with heightened emotion.
✽ Accelerated healing and regeneration (unless affected by vampire-specific means/weapons), but experiences same level of pain as when human.
✽ Magical glasses, a deathday gift from their sire, William. Worn to suppress lingering effects of pain and blurred vision from their tumor, which flare up at random.
✽ Magical camera on a strap. In exchange for energy, this polaroid camera can produce photographs despite not containing any film, though these will still be a blank grey color until smeared with blood.
✽ Ghost cat named Joy. Felix cannot see or communicate with ghosts themself, but the spirit of their childhood cat has affixed herself to them, as they learned after moving in with a medium.

In terms of actual sustenance, blood. Type B+ for the wordplay, if they had a choice. As for what they’d choose based on their tastes and desires while alive, they were a big fan of noodles! Swedish meatballs would make them pretty happy, even in an impending death situation.

No, they have neither killed nor done essentially the same thing by turning another person into a vampire.
Without intervention, killing someone would probably upset Felix to the point of causing them to give up, silently watching life from a window until they wasted away. Luckily, they have a
goodokay support system and live with a therapist, so they wouldn't be allowed to do that.Changing someone into a vampire has more wiggle room, seeing as their own circumstances were something like a blessing and they consented to it.

Hard choice between a harem of hot ladies with a variety or personalities and talents, and two hundred cats and the ability and space to give them all happy, luxurious lives.

When Felix checks their PDA, they will see that their homeroom is 3-C, their locker number is 279, and their student ID number is 108721. The inside of their left wrist bears the number 3 in tally marks, looking as if they were scratched into the skin. The marks are neither painful nor bleeding, but are sensitive to the touch, as if the skin is in the process of healing— and will never fully heal.
