Is that how we have people significantly older than a high school student should be still HERE? They haven't graduated YET, so the school keeps a hold on THEM.

I have been here a very long time. Decades. Centuries. So long, I have lost count of the years.

Have there been cases like I and a handful of my acquaintances - people who do not or cannot leave the school GROUNDS? Provided you remember seeing any wandering figures by the windows past closing prior to this YEAR.

I would not know their reasons, but students remaining inside the school is not a rare occurrence.

Kudo-chan - a friend of mine - seemed quite surprised to learn I'd been staying oVER, though she was under the impression it was at the dormitoRIES, rather than the school itSELF. ( hence why he asked, that's all. ) How many of them have you given seeds to beFORE?

This doesn't seem to be a place people would stay by choice. [ You gotta take tests and stuff. It doesn't seem like a place he wants to be for very long either, at least not inside. ]

Yes, I DO. I'm part of the gardening club here, in FACT... I was delighted to see we were given an equal share of herbs and flower SEEDS, not to mention some exTRAS, since I mainly deal with those at HOME.

The little lamb mentioned you gave her some SEEDS, so that's why I thought to ASK... Foxglove and pheasant's eye are interesting CHOICES.

The gardener just nods, though, like he doesn't see the need to comment further than agreeing. If there is a gardening club with both herbs and flowers flourishing, Natsume does not need any more seeds to grow. Grow the plants you already have. ]

I suppose as long as no one gets too fond of foxGLOVE, it's perfectly safe to have in your garDEN. ( and the gardener is a spirit so it doesn't matter to hiiiim ) What other things are you growing right NOW? PersonalLY, I've always thought about growing oleanDER... It's very loveLY.

It is. The bright red variety is stunning. It would not be out of place, grown in this courtyard, but I already have my hands full taking care of my friend here.

[ The wisteria, he means, petals glowing faintly in the light of the full moon. Yep. Sure is busy watering this tree that takes all of a few minutes, but he likes to spend his nights with his back against the trunk, staring up through the canopy. ]

Do they ever speak to YOU? I've heard any gardener worth their salt can hear the voices of those they take care OF, though I never thought it to be too liteRAL... but given your exisTENCE, as well as a number of other strange THINGS, I wouldn't be surprised if you could truly understand THEM.

The woods is my home, so I may be biased.

It is a beautiful place. The trees are dense and strong, the soil rich. It is absolutely teeming with life.

I'd like to visit it someTIME... I've heard from an associate of mine that when he tried to leave the courtYARD, though, that he seemed to have passed OUT. Do you have any idea why that might BE?

He must have tried to traverse a boundary, and it rejected him. Boundaries are set for a reason. I would not know that reason.

( ...Hmmm. And if he doesn't know the reason, then he can't help them cross it. Understandable. But certain people can leave the school; certain people can open windows in certain classrooms. With having class in the courtyard, it's with the teachers' permissions - their watchful gaze, and if you don't have that with you, it's impossible to return to the inside again...

All he knows is his class climbed a few ranks recently, and he's able to lean out of the window if he feels like it. He can throw things out, as he's tried with paper balls. And probably a body, considering how this thread with Komaeda is going, please don't ask. It wasn't him, it was Ball Monokuma...

Is it permission, or is it proving yourself... Well, no, both of those were tied with class rank, come to think of it - if you prove yourself to be capable, you're given more leeway... )

...Maybe I'll be able to visit you someTIME. As long as you wouldn't mind the company, of COURSE. I'm not in the habit of visiting people who don't want me aROUND.
