[ Nanami then takes the laptop and presses it against her chest. She hugs it gently, and looks over to him softly. ]

I'll keep your friend safe okay? When you are ready lets have fun together! Maybe later she'll come back to play games with me and talk to me. Do you think so?

[ He doesn't look very sure of himself, but he nods, because there is always "maybe." ]

As long as you keep that disk in, she should be there whenever you want to talk. Keep her safe. Keep her away from magnets, and water, and cat fur, and- and anything that can hurt her.

[ Theres a genuine pause, and she is happy to help two friends make amends at the end of it all. ]

Will you still play games with me too? Im always at the gaming club.

[ She called him cruel? Here he was under the impression that he had irreversibly broken their social link and there's no coming back from it ]

Hm? I was for a little bit, but I am happy you seem to want to change. Or well - seem that you want to look forward to the future and I want to be here to help you through it. Isn't that what friends are for?

[ Dont worry Akira, you could stage a whole death in the name of hope and be the reason you end up a killer - and she would not hate you. ]

[ Thats her logic, also because she was made automatically to be friends with whoever she met. So its the same here, and she is not opposed to it. If anything it makes her glad to offer her friendship to those who may need it. ]

Everybody likes games!

[ That can't be a friendship criteria, that's a universal experience ]

... Not everyone likes playing them with others though?

[ Nanami tilts her head quizzically. Wondering what the problem is. ]

Besides didn't you just confess quite a bit to me just now? I feel like I know a lot about you that others probably don't. So you trust me - some how.

[ That's him, liking games he can play on his own, wanting to join the gaming club but not because that would involve being around people, trusting Nanami even though he shouldn't and rather than a sign of friendship, it feels almost like a personal failing. ]

[ He swallows thickly, lips pressed together for a moment. ]

...Sorry. I'm really no good with other people. I don't know what to do with friendship, when it feels like just a word.

... Thats how I felt in the beginning...

[ Nanami states, playing with a lock of her hair. Twirling it a little bit, finding herself self conscious because she is refereeing to her time on the island. ]

Theres no rushing anything, just take it at your own pace - but! Youre still going to play games with me, right?

[ Brings it back a million times about games. ]

[ There's comfort to be taken in that she doesn't try to offer him advice or anything of the sort, just letting him know it's okay to take things at his own pace, even if that pace is currently at a standstill. ]

...Yeah. Of course I'll play games with you.

See, an already budding relationship. The flags will rise when they rise and maybe well have a good ending at the end of it.

[ Nanami jests, okay I want you to know they can still be fun and have a good time. If you wanna hand wave the end of this! I dont want to keep you I know you have a ton of threads. ]

[ nooooo cute, okay. He does smile a little at the flags mention and they can go off and play games instead, the next school day he will bring her his copy of Age of Empires like he'd promised before and watch her play ]

[ STOPP! I was gunna say we can make a thread where they just go back and forth once a week. Play a game and just make comments to legitimize them hanging out and playing games. THIS WEEK CAN BE AGE OF EMPIRES. ]

These games take hours, but I really enjoy having to build up armies and farm the terrain to build things up... It makes me wonder why things haven't really gotten cleaned up here - I mean there is an elevator they are putting in...

[ adsflkjh I'm not going to remember this thread exists in one week so we can just handwave and say they play games all month. How long does it take to beat Age of Empires... I never played through all the campaigns, I just replayed the same maps while spamming cheat codes like photon man and the flying dutchman and Akira doesn't take games so seriously that he'd ban cheat codes if they make the game fun.

Persona, though, that's a game he can play for hours— and it's better in chunks of hours bc that game is me getting lost 98% of the time and running around the same map trying to remember whether I've been here before or where I'm supposed to go next. He definitely looks more comfortable when it's just one on one, playing and talking about games and nothing more expected than that.

Next next week's PC game is Half-Life, I watched my brother play and then had to leave the room bc I was too chicken, Akira has no problem with horror shooters. ]

[ IM CRYING, ILL JUST BOTHER YOU AGAIN LATER NEXT MONTH THEN. NOT HALF-LIFE!!!! Nanami likes zombie shooters too look at them go really into it. The last week can be something easy, maybe they play something stupid like 101 dalmations game okay. Or no they can play spyro or ape escape. Something cute and soft and fun.

Okay but if Akira wants anything from Nanami you know where to find her, and I guess her to him LMFAO. SHe will wait for him every day afterschool at his locker (?) so they can play for like a half hour-an hour.

I hope he tells her when he cant play, otherwise shell sit there waiting... for him... : ) ]
