[ She pouts at him but she takes a step back to "wait" out in the "hall" aka wait until he goes inside and then quietly tiptoe to the door and press her ear against it. ]

Other than to pretend to make a phone call. Whether or not he can make it seem believable is another thing; Hajun pauses, imagining pulling his phone from his pocket and finding his father's contact information.

For a moment his stomach twists. Disgusting. ]

Hello, father? [ It feels so foreign to sound as if he's earnestly speaking to a parent. Disgusting. He wants to shed his skin for something new, feeling as if it's gathering grime somehow by pretending to be someone he's not -- and this doesn't usually happen at all. ] I was curious if I could spend time with a friend after school today? ... Mm, yes I -- [ He can actually hear his own father's voice in his head, bile building in the back of his throat. ] I'm not planning to skip out on my studies, I was only curious. If you're saying I can't go then it's not a problem.

[ He feels like he's going to throw up. He's going to lose it. Hajun might tear his hair out of his head...

He breathes deep, sighs out and opens the door. If Chiaki's there he's going to scream a little bit. ]

[ She's there. Right up against the doorway without the presence of mind to skitter back a little to give Hajun space. ]

[ There's no accusation in her voice; instead, she sound a little... happy? hopeful? bewildered. A friend instead of a classmate or a stranger. A friend.

Nobody tell her every word that came from Hajun's mouth was a lie. ]

[ And as promised: Hajun jumps a little and screams. It's more like a gasp, high-pitched. ]

I don't care too much about meeting the parents, but I'm perfect, so of course I'd pass any evaluation! If they say otherwise, they're wrong.
