( part of her feels weird, coming back to this place after so much recent death has happened here- but she was sleeping in her classroom and people definitely died there, too, since they had to clean up what was definitely blood before the graduation ceremony. not to mention she was holding hands with a ghost.

any mixed feelings are quickly dashed however, when she realizes just how beautiful it is in the topmost room at night- and as she takes it in, her eyes grow wide and bright again, and she might almost trip a bit as she tries to see from every side. )

It's beautiful, Hanako-kun!

Hehe~ Isn't it?

[ He wraps his arms around her to steady her, standing behind her and reaching for her hand so he can lift it up, cold hands curling her fingers to trace a long path out across the sky. ]

There... this is Hydra, the longest constellation. [ He leans in closer, cheek pressed against hers so that their point of views are aligned, guiding her hand to the left and circling around start to finish from one of the brightest stars in the sky. ] And that's Regulus— it's a system of four stars so close together they appear as one. And if you look over here... [ shifts her hand down and to the left ] That's Jupiter, the largest planet in our solar system.

[ They're all here, the sky that he knows and holds so close ]

( nene lets hanako guide her hand like his little pointer tool, leaning against him slightly even with the fact that he's cheek to cheek close. even if her face is slowly flushing, she looks where he points with wife eyes and rapturous attention. )

Oh, wow... I've never seen the sky like this, not really...

( the painted world's sky was gorgeous, of course. but it was an ideal, a painting. she hasn't yet let go of the idea that this could be real. )

[ He grins, because it's a sight not a lot of people get to see, especially in the city or a town with lots of lights— here in the school, it's only the wisteria tree that provides light outside, and even then the light is so dim that it barely casts shadow. It's like the painted world, except dying is a lot more real here than back where they came from. ]

The moon's going to be full in about a week. You'll come watch it with me then, won't you?

Of course I will.

( as she smiles, bright and earnest and loving as always, she shifts her hand in his to give his own hand a small squeeze. )

I bet it'll be beautiful.

( just like the rare moments of joy he allows himself. but she doesn't say that- it'd. it'd be weird, and sappy, and even if he thought it sweet he'd probably tease her anyways. )

[ As much as it can be one when they can't even leave the school, can only stand by the windows and pretend. At least Nene's able to get outside with her class on some days, whereas Hanako is just... stuck. As much as he lacked any freedom back in that other school, it was more than he's allowed here. ]

( oh no, not calling it a date- almost immediately, nene blushes, almost looking away to hide it. but... well, he knows her at this point. he probably already knows she would be. instead, she just squeezes his hand in hers and smiles. )

Y-yeah! We can bring snacks!

[ No snacks in the bathroom but a bloody clocktower is okay, huh. He takes what he can get, though, grin widening even further when he sees the way Nene blushes, she can't hide that from him. ]

What are you going to make us?

[ Homemade! snacks!! like that's a given and not a selfish request ]

( is is a proper moon-viewing date without snacks? shush!!!

it's hard not to giggle at his assumption- though, she really wouldn't mind something more homemade compared to vending machine junk food. after a moment's thought... )
