Too soon... ah, that's a way to phrase her return. ( as if they're able to come back within a set period, but that's not right, is it? ) That makes me wonder... she must have been the type to have a lot of bad things happen in her life if she'd become a vengeful spirit.
( sounds like a horror story thing, which komaeda finds just a little interesting, but with how odd this school is, he's surprised that it hasn't happened already. seeing ghosts should be a given when you're living in a simulation, he thinks. )

That's not bad at all, if you're all they remember, if your hope is stronger than hers, I can't imagine allowing someone weak to rule over others.
( now togami byakuya is a different breed, now he could govern everything if he willed it, and even that sort of leadership was outstanding. as he watches maya, even komaeda's curious about whether she has that ability just as well, she may not have the talent, but someone thrown into this — she's doing pretty well. )

( it's stated simple as that, and he doesn't really care how this look — it's about whose hope is stronger than whose, and komaeda falls towards that. he's not saying maya's is stronger than the collective one of the transfers, but it was stronger than the previous council president. so he'd be interested in the things she do, how she'd do them. )

( even to talk about it, the way he lives for that makes his cheeks flush, and he takes a deep breath to calm himself down. it's hard though, especially when he could just fall into a spiral of his love for it, why he's able to keep going just for that — it depends on giving himself to help a greater power. )
If I have to die to ensure that hope wins, I will. That's all I'm good for... feeding the soil, being a stepping stone...
( he crosses his arms, staring down the hall as his tail bounces behind him. ) Without hope, everyone will crumble... and you understand that there is hope here, it's why I wonder... how yours will do with theirs.
