[ Turing saw those supply closets. They couldn't remember seeing so many art supplies together at once before! How wonderful!

Uuuuuuunfortunately, that was what they saw while passing by instead of up close. Make no mistake, they had passed by to sneak glances inside the room many, many times. Today was different though, or so they hoped. In theory, asking to join the art club was easy. In practice, when they finally decided to actually go and do it, they ended up standing in front of the door for what felt like ages before finally knocking on the door.

Turing could tell just by looking that they were more than a little different from everyone else. Maybe they wouldn't even be allowed to join because of that...? ]

Door's unlocked!

[ comes somebody's voice, but at the same time Turing can hear the scrape of a stool being pushed aside and the footsteps of somebody walking to the door to get it. If Turing doesn't open the door in time, they'll see it open and another student stare and blink at the empty space above their head before his gaze lowers to proper eye level. ]

Huh.

[ Rokkun crouches down so he can look at Turing more comfortably, which also unfortunately means physically blocking the doorway. ]

Are you lost?

[ Turing was close enough to the door to be startled when Rokkun opened the door. The footsteps were a big giveaway, so maybe they should have expected something to happen, but still, they had jumped and even stumbled backwards a step or two. This was not a good start! ]

No, or at least I don't believe so. Does the art club meet in a room other than this one?

[ They silently hoped that they hadn't been fixated on the completely wrong room all this time. Please no. ]

[adsum]

Hmm... Unless they're meeting without me, nope, it's just this one!

[ A smile alights on his face at seeing Turing so flustered, shuffling a little forward in his crouch himself so that he's in front of them again and can reach out and pat them on the shoulder, on the cheek, like he doesn't think anything of it. He is very touchy-feely. ]

So you found the right place. Were you looking for someone? Shion? Hinata?

[begetblue]

Oh, I hope they aren't meeting without you!

[ The cheek puffed out on Turing's screen even though the smooth surface meant that in no way resembled reality. Ahhh, that pat on the cheek was definitely going to leave a print on their screen! ...The pat on the shoulder was okay, though. They could let the prints go in light of that, especially since not many people bothered to crouch down to their level. ]

Either one, if they're the ones responsible for membership. I would like to join the art club, please!

[adsum]

Oh, in that case, the person you're looking for is me.

[ Him who is not the club president or secretary or whatever position involves membership, but he releases Turing so he can lean back on his heels and hold his hand out, palm up in request rather than for a handshake. ]

Do you have your membership dues?

[begetblue]

[ Turing looked at that palm, then at Rokkun, and back again. Uh oh, they didn't prepare for this. It didn't help that thanks to their lack of experience, they readily accepted the idea of membership dues for a school club as something they were just unaware of. ]

I'm afraid I don't. What do I need in order to pay these dues?

[adsum]

[ ...He also looks down at his palm, up at Turing, and back again. Actually, he's not entirely sure Turing is capable of providing the required dues, but art materials don't come cheap, either. ]

I suppose it's not very fair to spring this on you all of the sudden. I can cover your dues, if you can do something for me. Just a small favor. I need you to bring me five people's PDAs— it doesn't have to be all at once, and it doesn't have to be all right now, either. I'll give them back, so you don't have to worry about getting in trouble.

[ He's just going to borrow them for a bit. Nobody gets hurt, Turing gets to join the art club, it works out, right? ]

[ Five PDAs... Hmm. Now this part struck them as odd, and for Turing, something odd meant curiosity was sure to follow. It wasn't that they were doubting the fairness of it; PDAs for entrance into the art club was a seemingly even trade if everyone would get their PDAs back, though they had no proof that would actually happen outside of Rokkun saying that he would give them back.

Well, there were at least a few things they could do about that. ]

Would mine count as one of the five? It seems only fair to relinquish my own PDA if I ask others to do the same. If you don't mind my asking, what do you need them for?

[adsum]

Hm? Sure, yours can count. I do mind you asking, though, so unfortunately I can't say.

[ Turing sounds like a good ???robot??? so hopefully they'll accept this and this isn't a deal breaker for them. ]

Do we have a deal?

[ Ahhhh, suspicious. This was so suspicious. Not because they thought it would lead to anything detrimental, but because those motives had to remain a secret. Maybe it was meant to be a nice surprise, like something that was on the same level as a secret birthday party? Maybe? Hopefully?? ]

...Yes, we do. I will try to gather the other four PDAs for you.

[ As a gesture of goodwill, they took out their own PDA and presented it to Rokkun. They already had an idea or two about how to manage without it, or to at least attempt to manage without it. ]

Thanks.

[ He takes Turing's PDA and slips it into his pocket without another glance at it or even asking Turing to unlock it for him. Straightening up, he gets out of the doorway and gestures for Turing to come inside. ]

What sort of art are you interested in? Painting? Charcoal? Clay?

[begetblue]

[ The plot thickens! Turing will remember that.

Turing eagerly followed inside without delay and immediately took in their surroundings. Finally! They were inside the art club!! ]

Painting! Specifically oil painting, but I would not say no to trying other painting mediums.

[adsum]

[ There's a laugh at the mention of other mediums, but Rokkun says nothing of it as he leads Turing around the room, playing the good senpai by pointing out where everything is— the canvases, the paints, the brushes, the pastels, the empty closet with a suspicious red smear in one corner, the sponges, the colored pencils. ]

Each of us have our own spot we've claimed, and some members are pretty ...particular... so I'd advise against just sitting wherever. If you felt like drawing today, you can go ahead and take my stool until we get one for you— it's the one by the window, right across from the door.

[ The suspicious red smear was, uh, a bit alarming. Rokkun had refused to tell them why he needed the PDA, so they doubted they were going to get an explanation for it, but the desire to ask was still strong. All the art supplies at their disposal now was only just enough to keep that desire at bay. ]

Thank you very much! I will be careful to respect everyone's spaces.

[ Maybe they would do some quick swatches for the paints before heading back for the day... ]
