[ Imagine if mirrors were a limited resource in shadow Yogen and once you punch out all the mirrors, that's it, bring your own or you're doomed. But he'll be able to find one and escape and find himself right back in front of the rules in the locker area, Maya next to him all /: at him for letting his side drop, pulling her cut hand back and reaching into her pocket for a handkerchief to stem the blood until she can get it washed. ]

Forgive me, a bug like myself can't even do a small task like carry something, I really am worthless.

( he pauses, reading the expression on maya's face, but as he glances down at where he stands, he lifts his head at the where the school rules should be. thoughtful, he ignores that and focuses on her finger first, he doesn't move yet because he's watching to see if she finds a handkerchief. now... his next move is decided on whether she finds one or if she's about to have another dribble hit the floor...

[ Maya does not refute that statement, because yes. She does carry a handkerchief, though, and the cut isn't deep enough that it can't be stopped by tying the fabric over her hand even if it's very thin. It smells like fake strawberry. ]

[commences]

( is he going to have to remember that marking, why does this happen to the man with dementia? )

Arisu-san, will you come with me real quick?

( of course he should try and put back up what they brought down, but that can wait. he's already taking a step past her to see if she'll come along. the direction? the same path the shadow version of herself took, time to go see where it as going. )

[adsum]

[ I'm the man with dementia, I don't remember half the things I say until somebody else brings it up again and I can pretend I remembered all along.

Anyways, Maya crosses her arms and doesn't take another step. ]

Help me hang this back up first.

[ You're not running away from this, mister? The moment they leave, they are never coming back, she knows this already. ]

[commences]

( not you also komaeda kin, i'm not even surprised because i'd believe you in a heartbeat. )

...

( he's going to look at her and then what's on the floor. don't they have to come back through here so she can go home? komaeda would make that comment, but that might make her instantly want to do that so he walks back over to help lift it on his side. )

Are you okay? I didn't mean to be so clumsy.

[ She's not going to leave this on the ground even for a few minutes, somebody might step on it when she's gone. Putting things back where she found this is just the same as cleaning up the evidence, leaving no trace she was ever here or did anything.

Rules back up on the wall, she takes a step back, making sure it's level before glancing down at her hand. The blood's soaked through the fabric but the cut is small enough that it looks to have already clotted and isn't bleeding further, which is good enough for her. ]

I'm fine. You're lucky you didn't drop it when you were taking it down on your own. Now, where did you want to go?

[commences]

There was nothing strange about me when I left, was there?

( he already knows the answer, it's pretty obvious by now he thinks because coming back here and being in the same place — there's never any changes. she didn't even come with him, so his concerns are the same as always, what makes them so different than them. now he points in the direction he remembers her shadow figure going, and that's the same path he wants to follow. )

It's not too far away. ( he didn't even look to where the figure had went, what was that? all he knows is that he couldn't get to the other side, and he even reaches out to grab maya's hand to pull her along. ) I'll hold onto you, I don't want to leave you behind...

[ That's the answer to his question, because she has no idea what he's talking about 1) he is always strange, and 2) maybe he means mentally checking out, which she can't comment on either.

She does, however, tear her hand away from Komaeda's grasp when he tries to hold it, because they are not doing that. ]

I'm going home and leaving you behind if you don't tell me where we're going and what this is about.

[commences]

( he's going to look at his hand... was it sticky? is that why she didn't want to hold it? that would make sense. how does he explain this is "i'm crazy, but are you crazy enough to accompany me" lingo? does he say it was a dream? or should he be straightforward about this, well this is komaeda. )

It's when you bleed, and I see an uglier version of this place. ( not like this one is serving looks either, but at least he's telling her the truth? ) You're still here, but your shadow moved on its own.

( he knows that she's good at trying to get away, so he makes sure to look back every so often, but let's be real here. if she decided to leave right now, who would stop her? not komaeda's twink ass. )

[ God this boy is insane. ]

I think you have the wrong eye open.

[ She's just going to... turn around in the middle of the stairwell and ditch him. ]

[commences]

( you know, he can hear her going down the tells you know at the pace she's going. turning around, and going down one step as she makes her getaway. )

Arisu-san, you did ask me, and that you'd come if I told you.

( he pauses, sighing with a shake of his head. )

Are you really not going to uphold your end of it? ( what is she afraid of? if she knows that he's got the wrong eye open, what's the worst that can happen? )

I came far enough. Whether or not I believe you, this feels like more trouble than it's worth.

[ She has zero guilty conscience about going home, she had made a reasonable effort to indulge him and that's done. ]

[commences]

I thought you wanted us to open our eyes?

( how will he do that if she does come with him to that specific area!! then again, it's true, he's not going to stop her because he's not that sort of person, but... the reason he came here didn't do much aside from tell she's equally curious about the "rules" he had. )

...Ah, we'll pick this up next time. ( he's already decided! it's been decided! ) Get a good night's rest!
