[ Can't believe we're eating hope meat hell yeah hell yeah what a treat

Lily May pitter patters straight out the door, tail aloft like one of those tourist flags so Komaeda can follow and not get lost down the short length of the hall they walk down before she is impeded by the stairs. Damn doors and walls, they should've let the school get water damaged so she can hulk smash her way through where she needs to go, but unfortunately she still needs Komaeda/somebody with opposable thumbs to open doors for her. ]

( not her little tail leading the way. he stuffs his hands into his pockets as he follows after her, one foot after the other. he waits for when she stops by a door when needing his assistance, and he reaches a hand out to open it so that she can go through — ladies first. once she goes through, he closes the door behind him as he makes sure not to put his hands on the handrail because he knows the games this school plays, and he has nothing to wipe his hands on at the moment.

so you know what, isn't it a really good thing that lily may doesn't have opposable thumbs? )

[ God nerfed Lily May by denying her opposable thumbs or else she would be unstoppable, all the hope meat would've been gone the first day back and everybody would've been none the wiser.

Smash cut to the home ec room, she parades around the room a lap and then goes to settle behind the other side of the stove island, poking her head out from behind the stove and staring up at Komaeda before meowing. Give her... warm meat. Like fresh kill. ]

[commences]

( anything for lily may, kiss her nose for me...

okay, but while we're in the home ec room, it doesn't take long for komaeda to find a few slabs of hope meat — which he's heard good reviews about. he makes sure to cut it into small pieces first before heating them up, not too hot, but enough so that it isn't room temperature?? also, just a little bloody because apparently lily may likes that :) komaeda's never had a cat before, so he's treating her like his late dog in his younger, rich years. )

...

( since she has no real cat food to mix it in, he'll find a nice little bowl — he gets a little marker to write her name on it — then pours what he's chopped inside. it's a very hearty meal, and for some unknown reason, komaeda's blushing...

maybe it's the smell, but he sets it down in front of her... )

[ Lily May eats the hope meat.

She laps up every last bit, she licks her bowl clean, she licks at her paws after her meal is done and if Komaeda is sitting nearby she will go to him and lick his fingers again too, entire body vibrating with a thousand decibel purr ]

[commences]

( she's so filled to the brim with human meat that she's literally going to devour komaeda alive one day, huh... that said, he allows her fingers to be licked of whatever residue is left on them so she's satisfied. )

...Hey.

( now he's ready to make conversation, a little interested as she purrs and vibrates without ever pausing. he even boops her nose with a finger, tapping softly while watching her. )

What are you going to do when I die... I wonder...

[ She answers that by rubbing against his leg, meowing sweetly, and nibbling on the tips of his fingers. ]

( god, that means she's going to eat him i'm tearing up. )

That's fine, as long as you get rid of all the evidence.

( why is he signing his death up with the cat, well, anyone would do this for someone as cute as lily may. now he's going to rub up from her nose to her forehead in little scritches. )

[ It's so he can be with her forever.

She gives him little chirrupy mrrs and squeezes her eyes shut, enjoying the attention but eventually wanting more and bunts his hand with the top of her head, trying to get him to dole out some full body petting. Is he sitting? he'd better be, because she paws at his legs so he can provide a good lap bed. ]

( he's probably just gristle, please lily may...

he is sitting, he has no choice but to sit in the kitchen on the floor where he belongs like the rat he is. scratching all over lily may is a ritual, making sure to go behind her ears, and even his hand down her spine for ultimate touching. as she paws at his legs, he realizes something that could make a difference, so he pulls his hands away. he's going to take off his jacket for her, and you know what he'll do? lay it in his lap so that she can have something even comfier to lay on. )

[ When I first saw this icon I had the same reaction as Wolfie but I didn't want to say it

But yessssssss she loves comfy hammock laps, she has zero interest in cardboard boxes but the moment somebody lays a blanket or a jacket on their lap? she materializes and collapses all her dead weight onto his lap, pinning down one of his arms and leaving the other free to stoke her back. ]

( STOPPPPP I'M TEARING UP. is this permission for him to do his school uniform low cut... is this what the npcs wants, including you and wolfie.

no.. she's soo cute, i'm crying. now that she's comfy, resting and relaxed, komaeda's going to scratch up and down her spine, and if anyone comes into the kitchen... he goes "shhh!" because he's trying to get her to sleep. they may get weird looks because of where they're sitting, but they're trying to be out of sight — stroke, stroke — out of mind. this is his baby girl, his one and only feline — he would never let her go. unless she wants to leave him (:/ rokkun...). pat, stroke, pat.

not even bev can have this spot... maybe... bev can have komaeda's head. )

[ crying, yeah, he can low cut his uniform and nobody will stop him

Lily May won't move from this spot even after Komaeda's legs go numb and someday Bev will be brave enough to approach Komaeda and sit on his head and chew off his ears. ]
