The cult is an unofficial club, aka a group of friends being friends who meet up at various days of the week in whatever classroom is currently unoccupied by other clubs. They claim they know how to draw proper summoning circles but they do not in fact know how to draw proper summoning circles, please take them under his wing and teach them.

Now obviously starting with a high-level demon is far too advanced and also if they wound up summoning one of his brothers he'd probably have an aneurysm bc he's not ready to deal with that. So.

We'll start with something low-ranking. Just a little imp, of course, nothing destructive! Still demonic, but a good starting point... and also an excellent little prankster, so congrats, have fun summoning tiny little pranksters!
