I dunno if I'd be an astronaut if I wasn't an idol though, 'cause they have to go through a lot of classes and I'd rather bounce around in those gravity chambers they train in. ☆ But maybe I can become the first idol in space...? Like those special guests they have sometimes.

I don't know. Somewhere close if I have to be alone, but if I'm with somebody else, it doesn't matter to me where I go.

I mean, I'm more okay with it now, but a few years ago I did pretty much anything anyone asked just so they'd maybe, just maybe, stay longer than a minute or two. I don't think I could be alone for too too long anymore, though, 'cause it makes me uneasy.

[ There's a little dip of their head in their silence, because their agreement doesn't need to be said. Being a shopkeeper has people coming to them, a 24/7 shop that has no reason to be. Personality-wise, they're not good at convincing people to stay, so they make up for it by physically holding people there, little squeeze of Subaru's hand at the thought, and not enough guilt or shame for them to let go.

[subaru reflexively squeezes back, chest warming at the invitation. he has a lot of friends here. he knows he can always peek over his bed to talk to natsume, or seek out nene for cuddles. hang out with lena at the pool, have lunch with hiro. bother maya during music club to play this and that, even if she won't. hell, he can even go onto the pda and strike up conversations there. just to put off whatever bouts of loneliness he gets.

subaru knows he's blessed with people who want to stay with him, and want to be friends with him, but this one...]

[ There's a feeling of ...something... when they hear that name from Subaru's lips. There aren't a lot of people to begin with that know their name, and the ones that do... they'd given Amami a different one, and Komaeda doesn't even think it's real. A mother's voice, recorded on a landline answering machine, replayed and replayed and never deleted, is probably the last time they've heard that name spoken with any semblance of affection.

[it's nice. no matter the sort — even if it's too bright, hiding something with its brilliance, or if it's that rare truly happy one subaru's managed to pull out of them. he likes them both, and everything in between.
