A time where I didn't have them? Hm... You mean before I woke up in this place.

( let's think back — he woke up out of a tube, had his arm removed by tsumiki and hinata, and then he winded up here with fuzzy memories he doesn't even care for. )

Nothing's different, people disliked me then too... and I didn't have one mark to my name or lived by these rules. If I did... I believe I'd have more marks than I already have.

( he pauses, shrugging his shoulders, and he'll part his mouth for a cracker. )

[ The counselor flicks the top cracker off the stack, but it bounces off Komaeda's nose and falls onto his chest. ...He tries again. He'll get it. ]

"Nothing's different," huh... I hope I get to see you again someday, Komaeda. And that when I do, your answer will be different.

[commences]

( he'll open his eyes, looking up at the other from what he said. something about it makes his lips purse into a straight line as he tries to figure out what he's supposed to say. )

Don't worry, I'll visit you every day.

( he's annoying like that, but... )

You can ask me the same question, and I'll give my answer... so for you, what's different?

( when he said nothing was different, that's how he feels on the matter. it's all about hope anyway, he can't think outside of that. )

[ The counselor doesn't have to talk about shit, thank you. ]

Is there anything else you want to share with me, or shall we end our session here?

( come on counselor, drop one hope fragment? just one. )

Nope, I can't think of anything... I'll come and visit when I have something traumatizing to tell you about.

( what did he get out this session? that killing kids is okay, he'll apply that to his daily life maybe. anyway, we can end the thread here, but counselor's lap belongs to him? he's going to take his nap, thank you. :) )

[ The counselor carries him to the door and sets him down on the ground and lays a single cracker on top of his head and then goes back into his office. ]
