It's hard for people who think they've ruined things to know when the right time is to try aGAIN. Too SOON, and it might worsen THINGS, but waiting too long could create an irreparable RIFT... ( it's hard. it's really pretty terribly hard, actually. ) Those twins are the cautious sort, aren't THEY? So it's likely the latter'll happen without some sort of hint to them on your side that it's okay to TRY.

I get the feeling he's the type of person who'll just try harder if you ignore him THOUGH, because that shows that his presence annoys you and he seems to enjoy that type of THING.
