... We all had memories of a time before we got the memories we have now. [ Nanami retorts toward Sara, as if this was subjective to them and not Nao themself. Ultimately she was gauging Nao's concern over this line shared between them, but she agrees with what Sara says. ]

That is why we are all confused, a game has rules and standards? Why cant any of us remember or know about these rules?

[ Nanami's eyes waft over toward Nao. ]

[ Not an interrogation, sure. She crosses her arms from her seat on the desk and huffs. ]

I'm going to have to disappoint you, because I don't know the rules either. I remember my old life too, when I wasn't a student of this school, before I woke up here. I'd only been a student here for a couple months before...

[ Before """things happened""" ...Ugh. Kokichi would be the best person to ask about everything that happened, with how he got himself involved, but she can't in good conscience suggest they ask him about it and expect a straight answer. ]

I don't know what happened. The next time I woke up, I was lying on the bathroom floor getting my stomach stitched shut. Apparently I've been put up for display in a glass case for a month for some charity auction, so if anybody is confused about what's going on here, that'd be me.

Fake memories. [ She retorts back to Nanami, huffing a little. ] I don't think anyone is going to be trusting memories of something that feels like its from a dream.

[ The power of two nosy killing game protagonists...enough to ruin anyone's day I'm so sorry Nao. ]

...Is anyone in this school actually from here? Even the teachers...could they also be from somewhere else? Just ah, not awake, in some sense... [ This is more to herself then directing at Nao, who probably doesn't know either. What a confusing place. Nanami is right, knowing the rules would make things a lot easier. ]

Ah...yes that does seem quite traumatic Sato-san. We don't need to talk about that if it makes you uncomfortable. [ As much as she wants to know... She does look a bit charigned. Okay, she knew it this school bad but she didn't know it was that bad... Auctioning off a person is horrid. Not even Sara can push someone to talk about that. ]

.. I didn't even know that happened. I wasn't around at that time, but it makes a lot of sense. I'm sorry that happened to you... Having yourself displayed for others do you think... The people here did that on purpose?

[ Nanami cants her head quizzically. ]

Ah, Legion told me that if you tried to hurt the faculty. You will get reprimanded severely.

[ Honestly its less a interrogation and more information sharing. They dont have anything to accuse Nao of, other then her knowing more then the two of them. All they want is more leverage over their situation, and with Nao seemingly having insight on it... Well they sought her out first. ]

[ To be fair, waking up in the middle of surgery being performed by some high school kid felt like a fever dream more than anything, so it's hard to tell what's real and what's not. ]

I don't know. I don't talk to the teachers much since... you know. They're teachers. But it's possible they're from somewhere else. I wouldn't know. Getting in trouble for trying to hurt a teacher sounds like a normal school thing too. I've seen students get in trouble and get lectured at when they're caught fighting too, though.

So teachers get us in trouble for fighting, but we get merit points for killing? This "games" rules are nonsensical. [At least she thinks thats what Saihara had implied at the family meetings. ]

So um, to start another line of questioning on that front. Sato-san, Nanami, do you know anything else thats rewarded with lots of merit points? Or any other rewards the school gives out for strange behavior?

Because if they're a reward for what they want us to do...what is the actual reward? Why would accumulating them be anyone's goal? The school store is closed and the vending machines aren't that expensive: its not hard for anyone to get by with classes.

.... If you accumulate enough merit points, can you leave? [ There are so many questions to ask, and she is certain Nao does not know all of them. However, whatever it was a start. She also asks as well. ]

I want to know too, what happens to a body when someone dies.

[ She knows about the void - but from Nao's perspective and knowledge. What did they know? ]

I see people fight in the hallways all the time... I think it's just a matter of getting caught.

[ At least in terms of punishment. She shakes her head. ] The student store wasn't closed last year. It was all normal stuff... up front. Food and school supplies, that sort of thing, which was all I could afford with what I had, but there was a back room too.

[ If it matters any, with the shelves currently empty and the room barren. ]

I was barely scraping by with what I got from classes, so I don't know... Maybe a third year will know, if they've been here long enough to accumulate for three years?
