[ It sure looks like she's been through hell and back, despite saying that she hasn't been through half what he has. He remembers walking in on her asleep, and remember his bento, reaching for the box and handing over to her what hadn't spilled out onto the floor.

If she came here right as lunch ended and was asleep, she wouldn't have had time to eat yet. Eat, sleep, those are the things that will make things better, especially when you don't know how to deal with ghosts. ]

[if her eyes could sparkle like an anime character, that would be happening right now.

instead, they just widen, and in a moment of incredible rudeness she will feel like a dick about in about one minute, she just outright snatches the bento from him. she doesn't even look for utensils; she's just scarfing up whatever the hell it is with her hands.

when the food is gone, in about thirty seconds, she seems to remember that she is a human being, and has the decency to look a little embarrassed.]

Um... Thank you! I didn't wake up early enough to make lunch... or breakfast...

[ Oh... at least a lot of it's finger food, things like those rolled egg omelets and sausages and a side of cherry tomatoes, although he doesn't have a drink with him to wash it all down. He doesn't seem put off by the rudeness at all, just concerned about the state of Stephanie not eating— the swearing makes sense now. She's hangry.

He finds her original message, and hands it to her. ]

[ But like... tomorrow. Or whatever day he isn't being accosted by idols. ]

... [she doesn't want to burden him with the tears forming in her eyes. so, she closes her eyes, smiling hard, and nods harder, so her voice doesn't betray her.]

[ Oh, he does that same trick. Tears won't fall if you don't blink, and that means you're not crying. Stephanie just has to keep her eyes closed until ??? her eyeballs reabsorb the tears or something. Closed eyes means she also misses the little smile on his face, that he stops almost immediately, trying to think of how to ask Maya to pack a little more food for lunch. She would be suspicious. But she'll probably also be happy, because he doesn't always eat the lunch he brings every day anyways, depending on if he's more tired than hungry. [ Oh, again. Hiro nods like yeah, that's a good plan. He frequently ditches class to sleep too, he finds no problem with this except his napping spot of choice is the library. People get tired from studying and put their head down a bit and so it's passable to sleep there, not like the auditorium. Auditorium's kinda a bit too open for his tastes... but okay. Guess we're napping here, because he doesn't get up to move either. ]
