And yeah, he hasn't made it easy; he doesn't like being known, but he's still human. It's still nice. He just also doesn't like it. That's why he has so many words. )

[ There's a brief moment like he's trying to think if other normal schools have yearbooks, and they must, right? But with how Yogen works, its student body perpetually in flux, a yearbook that captures everybody in that year would be full of faces they've never seen, the vast majority a reminder of those who are no longer here. ]

Sometimes people take pictures to commemorate things, but I've never seen an actual yearbook since I've been here.

... Komaeda, am I dead? I don't feel dead, but I don't think I know any better. If the scars on our arms are supposed to show lives that were taken... I've only ever had the one.

It depends on the year, for the most part... how the classes in general are doing, I mean. If students are doing well, sitting exams is all there is to it. If too many are struggling, the teachers may hold a practicum instead. And like I said... I think we're doing okay.

( komaeda stares at his right arm, slowly he rolls up his sleeve to show his marked wrist, still red from how slow his body heals. it's only a few that he's willing to show, too lazy to completely pull it down. instead, that hand rests on the edge too of where he sits, a few of his nails digging into the construct of it, and not too concerned on whether they chip or not, he's already missing some — )

It doesn't sound too out of line, you being the type to... have a hand in that instance, and failing every time knowing that the past can't be changed, no matter what's done — amassing tallies; but that's not the case... it's a narration with hiccups.

( he hums in thought, laughing softly as he looks forward... give him a moment rokkun, taking things literal, understanding the symbolism, what's true and what's false... the tallies that he's accumulated, the deaths, the taking of a life, whatever their souls went through within his "dream" and or "memory"... )

[ Very high energy, perfect lapdog size, they're pretty great. It's a little surprising that Lucifer hangs out with kids, but it doesn't surprise them that he's good at it. ]

It's not so uncommon a sentiment, though, and there are people who would rather the focus be off them— Kazuki is one of these people, so, if both of them will only brush off their thoughts and feelings, there is always a third party to focus on. ]

You're growing, this is what hope is all about... strengthening you to handle things that you couldn't, but if they're without a smile... are you growing or becoming weak? Only you can ask yourself that... as for your hope, I can gauge it easily.
