( she presses, unsure. she's only got what stephanie told her to go off of, but it's not as if she had any reason to lie to her, either. rather... lying to rika about this would've been strangely cruel, for a child like her, so... )

Aren't all murderers supposed to talk to him? You're not telling me something.

[ Okay, up you go. He lets go of Komaeda and pushes himself back so he can stand, and if Komaeda doesn't get up either and flops on the ground instead, that's fine, Rokkun is going to extract himself so he can go find that hose. ]

( maybe that sun is getting to him, it's really hot, but he's referring to this. )

It's not on my mind.

[ He's not going to dwell on his sins and think about them all the time. That's why he plays soccer, why he focuses on finding that hose and unraveling it and turning the faucet on to listen to the water run the length of it. ]

[ He frowns a little at Rika holding his face, not looking her in the eyes, but not pulling away either. ]

( that's a question he wants to ask as he remains settled on the ground, but he'll just crawl out from under the tree so don't worry... he can move!

Kawaii-san's a pretty interesting piece as a stepping stone... I see how those deaths led to the beginning of a minuscule hope inside her... I'm curious how it'll grow, and who has to tend to it for the time being.

( he's going to lay on the floor because no one is stopping him, but as long as the counselor can hear him, it's fine. he sighs, thinking: )

[ That's a good question. One he tries not to think about either as he approaches with the hose, sliding his thumb over the opening so that the water sprays out in a thin fan towards instead of a slow stream. He sort of waves it up and down like he's watering Komaeda. ]

[ It doesn't take long because he chokes on his riceball and coughs most of it out. ]

You should ask yourselves that same question sometimes. It doesn't matter, though.

[ He finally looks up and meets Rika's eyes, placing his hands on hers and removing it from his face. ]

I'm graduating, and I'm going back to where I need to be, and I'm going to put this place behind me.
