trying to meet kouji on 4/17

Ain tries to look for Kouji on the 17th at lunch. Can he find him?

He sure can! Despite being a third year, Kouji seems to hang out on the second year's floor during lunch, and can be seen chatting with some of the second years or otherwise walking on his own.

Ain is so bad at social but he's going to try and get Kouji aside for a conversation.. wanting to know how the world is like outside the school. He also tells Kouji that he'll do something for him in return for the information.

Ain... Kouji looks a bit weirded out by the conversation and says that the world is fine? Like, some people are worried about global warming and some people are worried about politics, but that's pretty normal. If asked about a town, he'll say that most students walk or bike through the forest to get to the bus station and then to the train station if they live that far away. He also says that he doesn't need Ain to do anything for him in return, and that Ain and Natsume can chill out a little about thinking they need to repay somebody for asking questions.

Being involved with magic gives you a strong impression of equivalent exchange okay... Ain asks where the school is. Is it related to 'Tokyo, Japan'? Also what was up with those gorintos? Did Kouji see anyone put them there ever?

Ain's getting a lot of weird looks because he should know where he's going to school, but Kouji humors him and reminds him that they're in the Yamanashi Prefecture, with Tokyo to their east. The student council members set up the gorinto during the spring equinox as a way of honoring those they've lost, similar to how traditionally one would visit the gravesites of their loved ones.

Ain is a guy with two toned grey green hair and spiral eye pattens and a cursed arm so you know weird looks are normal for him....

He'll then ask if it's set up for any of the students who might have passed away last year due to having in born sickness (the same 'excuse' people have been attributing ain's one condition to, so he's not being mean or anything as it's something he 'deals with' ) or something else (he doesn't say this but murder hint hint

Anyways he looks somewhat uncomfortable with this line of questioning, but says that those who are sick tend to withdraw from school to be in a hospital, so the gorinto are for students who die by ...accident...

He'll also say thanks for the info and sorry for making Kouji uncomfy he appreciates that ppl set up memorials for others who are gone

(not mentioned outright but he will say if questioned why he's so obsessed, that he'll die soon due to his 'illness')

I'm crying, Kouji looks relieved that they seem to be done with this and does seem very sorry for Ain's "illness". He hesitantly asks Ain what he thinks he's going to do— go home when it gets bad enough, or will he make most of his time here and continue going to school until... you know...

[Ritsuka has been talking and just... generally chilling with Kouji in school for the past week. No weird probing questions or anything like that, she just likes hanging out with him.]

Now that Ain knows he can exploit his soon to be dead status he's definitely gonna get mileage out of it im sorry...

Ain says that everyone here has been nice to him so he wants to spend as much time here as possible so he can see his friends ( he has friends now, amazing ) and Kouji is def nice to him so he's also grateful for that... its like he's made peace with dying so its fine.

noooooooooo ): Kouji definitely looks distraught by this but says that it's good he's made peace. If he passes away before the school year is out, Kouji promises that Ain won't be forgotten when the student council puts together the gorintos for the next equinox.

[ In comes the annoying Knight to visit the Nurse. He was given a quest - or task if you will. He was very impartial to seeing it get done. Regardless he is here for a short visit. Upon seeing the good nurse he states sweetly. ] Good evening Ma'dam Nurse-chan, I hope time has fair you well. I come today at behest of another, they are in dire need of the item called 'Laxatives'? [ He says it like its not awkward to say that. ]

The nurse gives Gawain a sympathetic, knowing look, and gives him a single serving packet of miralax, telling him to mix it in a glass of water before drinking.
