[ On the morning of the 5th, there's a note left for Clamor to find in his locker, in Shuichi's handwriting -- which he may recognize from having seen extensively on the closing argument for Komaeda's murder. Not that it matters for anything other than extra credibility anyway, because it's signed and reads the following: ]

We're sorry to bother you, but Amami-kun and I found something that seems rather important. It's related to a clue you're familiar with, so if you aren't busy... we were wondering if you could meet with us in the dormitory's study hall tonight. A little bit before midnight would be perfect.

[ So they have time to talk first, and explain themselves without needing to type on their PDAs or write everything out. But close enough to the hours of silence that they can wait until it strikes before going outside. Either way, it explains why he and Amami are currently cooped up in the otherwise empty study hall, the latter having brought a spade he borrowed from the gardening club (with Amity's generous approval) or otherwise an actual shovel if (enh voice) Ori takes pity on us and they were able to find one around the school anywhere.

Meanwhile, Shuichi places a round hand mirror onto the table as they wait, which presumably should have been way easier to obtain by just trading with a random classmate, and looks sheepishly at Amami. ]

[ He stares back, a carefully schooled expression, wanting to hear Komaeda out from start to finish before he says anything.

[Ishimaru stands awkwardly on the other side of the door. He's initially ready to comply with Maya's order and drive them away. It will be a challenge when Komaeda seems to be one of them. But then Komaeda's words give him pause.]

( it's a little comforting, it's a little discouraging, but it seems like there might be good intentions behind it. at the very least, it doesn't hurt, so he appreciates the gesture. )

You mentioned something like that before too, but that doesn't mean it's not possible.

( there's a lot he could read from that, especially when he shouldn't take it literal — it feels like a test, exchanging conversation with rokkun to try and... understand the finer details of his dreams, what it's meant to tell them. )

npc-kun is quiet, though, listening to Komaeda talk about murder so flippantly. It's a neutral expression, one desperately trying not to give anything away. ]

( if he sounds a bit puzzled though, it's probably because he is, but it's fine. it's not like saihara's wrong in that he does spend a lot of time breaking mirrors, considering his bandaged up left hand. well, actually, something like that might be exactly why saihara isn't wanting to do this himself — they're trying to avoid accidental pre-trip void visit.

anyway! he looks amicable enough to the idea, lifts the little mirror up to take a look at it. do they want to crack it like an egg, or snap it in half over the table edge... looks at the table edge. slides off the table he was definitely sitting on. )

No guarantees it'll be a clean break though.
